A close-up magic show tucked inside a 60-seat speakeasy at Fairmont Austin has sold out every single weekend since it debuted in June, and now organizers are extending the run through the end of October. Theater of Magic creator Christopher Wayne says the demand has been unrelenting, with performances continuing every Saturday at 5 and 8 p.m. inside the hotel's Room 725.
“Every single weekend has sold out,” Wayne said, according to a report from KEYE, which first covered the extension. Wayne told the station that Austin has become the company's most popular location and, elsewhere, its number one selling location overall. He is urging anyone considering a date night or family outing to book quickly, recommending tickets be secured early since shows regularly sell out.
Inside Room 725's Rotating Cast of Illusionists
The show features two of America's best magicians alongside a rotating cast of magicians, mentalists and illusionists from Texas and beyond, with a different lineup performing each week. The 90-minute performances blend mind reading, sleight of hand and audience participation, and tickets start at $69, according to Secret Austin, which recommends the show for guests ages eight and older. A VIP experience adds front-row seating and additional close-up magic for those who want a more immersive night.
