A reported weapons disturbance on the 3500 block of Dryer Park Drive in Spring on Wednesday brought a heavy law enforcement response, ending with a suspect arrested and facing felony gun and domestic violence charges. Harris County Precinct 4 deputies say the man threatened another individual with a firearm before deputies established a perimeter around the Breckenridge Forest home.
According to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4, deputies responded to the reported weapons disturbance and quickly locked down the area while the investigation got underway. The 3500 block of Dryer Park Drive sits within Breckenridge Forest, a master-planned subdivision of single-family homes in unincorporated North Harris County zoned to Spring Independent School District, according to Zillow.
Drone and K-9 Corner the Suspect
To resolve the standoff, deputies deployed both drone support and a constable K-9 team to establish and hold the perimeter, per the constable's office. Precinct 4 later confirmed that following the setup, deputies located and arrested the suspect, charging him with family assault, felon in possession of a firearm, and interference with an emergency call, the office said in its update.
The office has not released the suspect's name, his bail status, or the specific relationship between him and the person he is accused of assaulting. Investigators noted the case remains under investigation and said additional information would be released as it becomes available, the same account states.

The felon in possession of a firearm charge is a third-degree felony under Texas law, carrying a punishment range of two to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000, according to LegalMatch. Led by Constable Mark Herman, Precinct 4 is the largest constable's agency in the country, operating with an annual budget of nearly $103 million and more than 670 sworn deputies covering 520 square miles of unincorporated North Harris County, including Spring and Humble.

Wednesday's standoff is the latest in a string of serious calls Precinct 4 has handled in the Spring area this year. In February, deputies deployed a heavy perimeter with drones, K-9 teams, and Texas DPS air support to search for a fleeing suspect near Louetta Road and Stuebner Airline Road, as Hoodline previously reported. Earlier this month, deputies also responded to a fight between juveniles on Leaflet Lane that ended with one minor stabbed and another detained.
