Sacramento woke up clear and around 64 degrees Monday morning, but the day is headed toward 94 as summer heat takes the wheel again. A brief chance of light rain could pass through between 7 and 8 a.m.; after that, skies turn sunny and rain nearly disappears from the forecast.
Early Rain Chance Gives Way To Full Sun
According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s rain chance is about 20%, with south-southwest winds of 5 to 8 mph. By afternoon, temperatures should peak near 94 degrees under sunny skies, with no active watches, warnings or advisories posted.
Heat Holds Through Thursday
Tuesday keeps the same mostly sunny setup and another high near 94. Wednesday and Thursday look like the hottest days of the stretch, each reaching about 95 degrees with only a tiny chance of rain.
Overnight temperatures will remain relatively mild through Thursday, with lows around 61 to 63 degrees. That means Sacramento’s evenings will offer some relief, but not exactly the kind that makes the air conditioner feel unnecessary.
Weekend Cool-Down Arrives
The pattern finally eases Friday and Saturday, when highs dip to around 91 and overnight lows fall to 59. Sunday looks milder at 88 degrees with mostly sunny skies, still warm but noticeably less punishing than midweek.
For outdoor plans, the most comfortable window will be early morning or evening, before temperatures climb into the 90s. Drink water, seek shade during the hottest part of the afternoon, and take extra care with children, older adults and pets.
