During an interview with NFL Network's Kyle Brandt, Rodgers said conversations with Brittani, along with her love and support, helped him become comfortable reopening that door, according to TMZ. He also emphasized that she did not pressure him into reconnecting.
The comments add context to the family photos Rodgers shared from a Nashville weekend. CBS Sports reported that the images showed Rodgers with his parents, Luke and his niece, and that he captioned the post, "Another bonding week." Jordan Rodgers, whose public comments helped bring the family rift into the spotlight, was not shown.
Rodgers’ Family Reconnection Started Before The Photos
The public reveal followed quieter signs that the relationship was thawing. NBC Sports reported that Rodgers invited his parents to his April induction into the Pleasant Valley High School Hall of Fame in Chico, where he thanked them for their support.
The family split became public in 2016 after Jordan discussed Aaron's absence from the family on "The Bachelorette." Rodgers later addressed the tension in his Netflix documentary, "Aaron Rodgers: Enigma," but has continued to keep the specific cause private, saying the reasons do not need to be discussed, according to TMZ.
For now, the reunion appears to involve several important family relationships rather than every branch of the Rodgers family.
