Stella Lefty, the pop-country singer-songwriter behind the breakout single “Boston,” will launch her 2027 tour at the Fillmore Detroit on Jan. 9, with tickets set to go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday via Ticketmaster. A presale for the show begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, according to promoters.
The Detroit stop kicks off an 18-date run in support of Lefty's debut album, as reported by The Detroit News. The tour will wrap up Feb. 20 in Chicago, bookending a stretch that also includes stops in Nashville and Boston, according to Consequence, which reports the itinerary hits Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, Boston's MGM Music Hall at Fenway, and cities including Toronto, Montreal, and Brooklyn before Lefty closes things out at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom.
The Fillmore Detroit, where the tour begins, is a Beaux-Arts building constructed in 1925 as the State Theatre and now sits on the National Register of Historic Places along Woodward Avenue, per ThrillZing. The venue holds roughly 2,200 to 2,900 concertgoers and has been run by Live Nation since 2007, the outlet notes.
A Debut Album Riding a Viral Single
Lefty released her 14-track debut album, “Long Way Home,” last Friday through Atlantic Outpost, combining seven new songs with seven tracks she had already put out, according to That Eric Alper. The 38-minute project leans on her earlier EP singles alongside the new material, per the same account. Ahead of the full release, Lefty had already put out “Lean In, Kiss Me,” a single she co-wrote with pop songwriter Julia Michaels, the site reports.
Her calling card remains “Boston,” which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, per the Detroit News, and had racked up more than 385 million streams by late August, earning 2026 MTV Video Music Award nominations for Best Country and Best New Artist. The song carries an official songwriting credit for indie-folk artist Noah Kahan because it interpolates the vocal melody from his 2022 hit “Stick Season,” according to Songfacts, which lists Kahan alongside Lefty, Grace Enger, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, and Joe Reeves as credited writers.
From Nashville Happy Hours to Lollapalooza
Lefty performed at SiriusXM The Highway's Music Row Happy Hour: CMA Fest Edition at Chief's on Broadway in Nashville in June, and she made her late-night television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in May, per That Eric Alper. She later joined Marcus Mumford onstage at Madison Square Garden to perform “Boston” and has opened for acts including Mumford & Sons and Wyatt Flores, the outlet reports. Lefty announced the new album this month during her debut performance at Lollapalooza in her hometown of Chicago, playing before more than 12,000 fans at the same festival she attended as a fan growing up.
Before her winter headlining run begins, Lefty is set to complete a fall international tour spanning stops across North America and Australia, according to Consequence, marking an expanding overseas presence for the singer.
Family Ties Run Through Detroit and Chicago
Lefty is the daughter of Groupon co-founder Eric Lefkofsky, per the Detroit News, and was raised in the Chicago suburbs. Lefkofsky, now CEO of Tempus AI, grew up in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield and holds an estimated net worth of $5.9 billion, according to Forbes, which notes he attended the University of Michigan before founding multiple publicly traded tech companies. That family history gives added local resonance to Lefty opening her tour in Detroit before closing it in Chicago, the city where she grew up.
