Lakefront Clouds Give Way To A Mild Afternoon
The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan says a band of clouds near Lake Michigan could bring isolated light showers or sprinkles through early afternoon, especially along and just inland of the shore. Otherwise, high pressure should keep Monday dry and comfortable, with northeast winds around 5 mph and precipitation chances near 10%.
Monday night will turn partly cloudy, with temperatures falling to about 65 degrees and winds shifting southwest. That sets up a warmer Tuesday, with a high near 82 and a slight chance of showers beginning after 1 p.m.
Tuesday Brings The Week’s First Storm Risk
Showers and thunderstorms could become more likely Tuesday afternoon and evening, with a 50% chance of precipitation. The National Weather Service says a few stronger wind gusts are possible, although the forecast does not call for a major severe-weather event at this time.
Storm chances may linger into Tuesday night before easing early Wednesday. New rainfall could range from a tenth to a quarter of an inch, so outdoor plans may need a backup once the afternoon clouds begin building.
Sunny, Cooler Conditions Follow
Wednesday and Thursday look like the week’s best stretch for outdoor plans, with mostly sunny to sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Overnight lows should dip into the low 60s, bringing a noticeably cooler feel after Tuesday’s warm-up.
Rain chances return Friday and continue into Saturday, when scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible. Sunday currently looks mostly sunny and cooler, with a high near 73.
