Saturday Starts Bright, Then Clouds Build
Temperatures will climb to around 84 degrees, with partly sunny skies for much of the day. Clouds should thicken by afternoon, when a slight chance of showers is forecast mainly between 2 and 4 p.m., with northeast winds reaching 2 to 7 mph.
Storms Arrive Saturday Night
Showers and thunderstorms become increasingly likely Saturday evening and overnight, with temperatures settling near 72 degrees. The National Weather Service Cleveland office says locally heavy rain could bring a quarter- to half-inch of rainfall and create a risk of localized flooding.
Sunday Carries The Biggest Weather Risk
Sunday will stay mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms likely and a high near 83 degrees. Heavy rain remains the main concern, but stronger storms could produce damaging wind gusts, and forecasters say an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
People with outdoor plans should keep a way to get indoors quickly, especially Sunday afternoon and evening. Drivers should never attempt to cross a flooded roadway, even if the water appears shallow.
Calmer Weather Returns Monday
Showers may linger into Monday morning, but the forecast calls for improving conditions Monday afternoon through Tuesday night, including a sunny Tuesday with a high near 80 degrees. Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible Wednesday before cooler, mostly sunny weather arrives late in the week, with highs near 75 degrees Thursday and Friday.
