A 56-year-old woman died last Saturday after a riding lawnmower overturned into a creek at a Tarrant County residence, leaving her trapped beneath the equipment as her husband tried to help.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the sheriff’s office said investigators are still working to determine exactly how the incident unfolded. Foul play is not suspected, according to a Monday update from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigation Remains Open
Deputies were dispatched last Saturday to the 100 block of Willow Creek Circle for a death investigation after initial reports indicated the riding mower had overturned into a creek. The woman’s husband attempted to free her before deputies arrived, officials said.
The case is listed under report number 2026-09534. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the woman’s identity and official cause of death, while the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division continues reviewing the circumstances.
Authorities have not released additional details about the property, the mower, or what caused it to overturn. The investigation remains ongoing.
