A Glen Burnie sporting-goods run turned into a police search Monday night after two men allegedly began walking out with merchandise and one used a Taser when an employee approached. The suspects then kept collecting items and left the store, according to police.
Anne Arundel County Police said officers responded around 9:05 p.m. to the Dick’s Sporting Goods in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway. Investigators said the men concealed and collected merchandise before an employee tried to intervene, prompting one suspect to activate the Taser and force the employee to retreat.
The suspects continued taking merchandise and fled, as reported by Fox45 News. The employee was not identified, and police have not announced arrests or released an estimate of the merchandise’s value.
Police Release Detailed Suspect Descriptions
Police described the first suspect as a Black man wearing a white shirt, orange tiger-striped pants, white sneakers and a white Washington Commanders hat. The second was described as a Black man wearing a white shirt, a tan hat and ripped light-wash jeans, according to the county police release.
