A Boerne delivery contractor plans to eliminate 230 jobs in November after its Amazon contract expired, according to reporting on a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. The layoffs are scheduled to take place between Nov. 6 and Nov. 19.
4XH Logistics filed the notice Sept. 10, as reported by the San Antonio Report. The company used drivers to deliver Amazon packages. The San Antonio Report said Hilario did not respond to its request for comment, while the San Antonio Business Journal reported that he said the contract's expiration prompted the layoffs and that he expected affected workers to find other employment.
The available reporting identifies the expired Amazon contract as the stated reason. It does not establish whether other business conditions also contributed to the decision.
