Baltimore police are investigating a Monday evening shooting that wounded a 56-year-old man in the Barclay neighborhood. After receiving a report of gunfire in the 2400 block of Barclay Street, officers found indications that shots had been fired but no injured person at the location, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Police later located the man at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. He was conscious and breathing, police said. Authorities have not released details about how he got to the hospital or what preceded the shooting.
Earlier Barclay-area shooting
A woman was killed in a separate Barclay-area shooting on Sept. 11, according to FOX Baltimore. The report said officers were first sent to the 2300 block of Hunter Street and then found the woman with gunshot wounds in the 2400 block of North Calvert Street. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police have not said whether Monday's shooting is connected to the Sept. 11 killing or to any other incident in the area.
