Aberdeen Police are asking the public to help identify a group of retail theft suspects who are believed to live in the Aberdeen area but are wanted in connection with a theft case in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Officials announced they are attempting to identify possible suspects connected to the incident, which occurred in Harrisburg, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.
The retail theft itself happened in Harrisburg, and the Lower Paxton Township Police Department is leading that investigation, according to FOX45 News. Lower Paxton Township sits in Dauphin County east of Harrisburg and is the county's most populous municipality, with 53,514 residents in 2020 spread across 28.1 square miles. The pictured individuals are believed to be from the Aberdeen area, and Lower Paxton Township Police is partnering with Aberdeen Police in the effort to track them down, per the station's report.

The case involves jurisdictions in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
Tougher Laws Target Multi-State Theft Rings
Pennsylvania has been ramping up its response to organized retail theft in recent years. The state implemented Act 42 of 2023 in July 2024, which established the Office of Deputy Attorney General for Organized Retail Crime Theft, according to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. In its first full year of operation in 2025, the state's Organized Retail Crime Unit launched more than 100 investigations across 52 counties, charged 60 individuals and seized nearly $500,000 in stolen goods and cash, the office reported.
Retail theft is also discussed in Pennsylvania. Maryland has also been part of the broader discussion around retail theft.
