An 11-year-old boy who rode off from a park near Aurora on an electric Onewheel Saturday evening never made it home, prompting Arapahoe County deputies to search through the night with the help of drones. Gabriel Oats was last seen around 5 p.m. on September 26 at a park in the 3900 block of South Kirk Way in unincorporated Arapahoe County, and the sheriff's office announced shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday that he had been found safe, according to Denver7.

According to The Denver Post, sheriff's officials said Oats told his brother and friends at the park that he was going home before he rode off. He never arrived, according to a sheriff's alert cited by the paper, and law enforcement officers began searching for him in Arapahoe County once it became clear he was missing.
Deputies searched the surrounding neighborhood overnight, using drones to help scan the area, as reported by Denver7, per the sheriff's office.
