Arlington police said an officer shot a man armed with a knife Thursday night while responding to a call about a suicidal person at a home in the 1700 block of Lovers Lane. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. No officers were reported injured.
Officers were dispatched to the home around 10:45 p.m. Thursday for a suicidal-subject call, according to Arlington, TX Police

According to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, an Arlington officer fatally shot 49-year-old Sean Daniel McKay during a Feb. 8 traffic stop along Interstate 20. That was a separate incident involving a vehicle and a firearm, rather than the Lovers Lane call involving a suicidal person and a knife.
