According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, District 5 detectives are seeking to locate and identify a pictured suspect wanted in connection with the shooting. Police say the unknown suspect shot the 24-year-old man, striking him in the leg, before fleeing the scene. As reported by First Alert 4, police released images of the suspect alongside a black Hyundai Sonata bearing a temporary tag in hopes that someone can put a name to the face.
Investigators describe the suspect as having worn all dark clothing at the time of the shooting and note that the person occupied the black Hyundai Sonata with the temporary tag. Police have made clear that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, underscoring the urgency behind the request for tips as the search for the shooter continues.
Victim's Condition and How to Help
The 24-year-old victim was transported to a hospital for treatment following the shooting and was listed in stable condition, per the department's account. No further update on his condition has been made available.
