The forecast remains stubbornly hot into the weekend, with highs near 98 on Saturday and Labor Day and 97 on Sunday. Overnight lows will hover between 77 and 78 degrees, limiting the chance for meaningful recovery after sunset. Across the broader area, forecasters expect heat-index values in the 105-to-110 range through the weekend.
