Wilson Roberts, 49, of Philadelphia, is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after a judge denied him bail, according to the Bensalem Township Police Department. Police said he was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and related offenses.
The department said officers went to 1150 Northbrook Drive at about 1:32 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of an armed person. Police said Roberts had entered an office building and displayed a firearm toward co-workers.
Police reported finding Roberts in a vehicle in the office parking lot. According to the department, he got out and tried to flee as officers moved to detain him; officers brought him to the ground, where he continued resisting and assaulting them. Police said they recovered a fully loaded .38-caliber revolver.
Pennsylvania law defines terroristic threats to include communicating a threat to commit a violent crime with intent to terrorize another person, among other specified purposes. The charge is generally a first-degree misdemeanor; it is a third-degree felony if the threat diverts occupants of a building or other specified facility from their normal operations, under the state statute.
