A property owner in Pelham called authorities at about 1:25 p.m. Sunday after finding a body near water, prompting an investigation amid a search for a missing 67-year-old Alabaster man. Officers and coroner’s office investigators responded to the scene near the Wild Timber neighborhood, where the remains were found.
