According to WJLA, the Arlington County Police Department dispatched officers to the park after a report of a robbery. Police say a boy was approached by six other boys at the park, some of whom appeared to be brandishing BB guns, before the group demanded his belongings. One suspect then discharged a BB gun, striking the boy, and the group fled the scene, the station reports.
Officers canvassing the area found and detained four juveniles who matched the description of the suspects, per the same account. Police say they believe there is no ongoing threat to the public. It remains unclear whether all six original suspects have been identified or whether charges have been filed against the four juveniles in custody.

Weeks earlier, three juvenile suspects confronted two teenage girls at Chestnut Hills Park, stole cash, and brandished a pocketknife before fleeing; the suspects were not initially arrested.
