Cavender's had announced its concurrent tri-city Florida expansion into Brandon, Ocala and Orange Park back on June 8, building on its earlier single Sunshine State store in Orlando, according to a Cavender's Ranch Blog announcement. The Orange Park store carries Ariat, Wrangler and Resistol brands, along with the company's private-label lines Rockin' C, Rafter C and JRC & Sons, the Daily Record's report notes.

Cavender's traces its roots to 1965 in Pittsburg, Texas, where James Cavender entered retail after selling a burger restaurant called Dairy Hart, initially stocking his new clothing shop with just three styles of Tony Lama cowboy boots, according to WRCA. The chain, founded by James and Pat Cavender, has since grown to more than 130 stores in more than 18 states, according to the company, per the Daily Record's reporting.
