Cast members recently pulled back the curtain on rehearsals for the tour's second year, sharing what fans can expect from a show now stretched across three Disney franchises instead of two. According to SF.gov, Mission Bay now houses a new UCSF campus along with growing amounts of lab and incubator space for researchers and start-up companies.
According to ABC7 Los Angeles, the tour returns for its second year celebrating Descendants, Zombies and Camp Rock, with a cast that includes Malachi Barton, Liamani Segura, Hudson Stone, Swayam Bhatia, Alexandro Byrd, Kiara Romero, Mekonnen Knife and Dara Reneé. On the Red Carpet interviewed the cast at a recent rehearsal and previewed a new dance number, capturing performers still adjusting to a show that has grown considerably since its debut run.
Camp Rock was added to the tour's repertoire this year, a shift that cast member Kiara Romero — known for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland — said gives the production a different edge. Per the same interview, Romero explained that the show now has more edgy and rock elements because of Camp Rock's addition. Fellow cast member Alexandro Byrd, also known for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, reported that the cast adjusted after the first week of preparation and said the group is now feeling good after what he described as an adjustment period.
New Faces, New Choreography Challenges
Hudson Stone, who played Desi in Camp Rock 3 and had not danced before taking on that role, told the outlet that dancing and seeing foreign places are new experiences pushing him outside his comfort zone. Malachi Barton, known for Zombies 4 and Camp Rock 3, said the tour will be crazy and fun with a different, talented group of people. Liamani Segura, known for both Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3, said the cast is bringing fire, energy and good vibes — and joked about being excited for the tour's stop in Idaho.
Mekonnen Knife, known for Zombies 4, said every star will have a moment to shine on stage, and singled out the Paris and Amsterdam stops as ones he's especially excited about. Swayam Bhatia, also known for Zombies 4, rounds out a cast built to represent all three franchises now sharing the same arena stage.
How the Tour Grew From 40 Arenas to a Global Run
The inaugural 2025 tour played sold-out shows across more than 40 North American arenas, a run that earned Billboard Magazine's designation as Top Family Tour of 2025 and a Pollstar award nomination, according to the Prudential Center. The 2025 tour featured performers including Kylie Cantrall and Freya Skye. Disney also turned that inaugural run into a Disney+ concert special and a live album, released in February 2026, as noted by SeatGeek. Pollstar reported that the top 100 worldwide touring artists averaged over $2.5 million per show worldwide in 2025, up 9.2% over 2024's average.
This year's production, produced by Disney Concerts and promoted nationwide by AEG Presents, spans 48 North American arena dates. Per Chase Center's own event listing, the tour will stop in 60 cities across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the European Union, running from its September 25 opener at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert through a December 13 finale at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. The tour will then expand into Europe and the UK in February 2027, including a February 10 date at Manchester's AO Arena, according to AEG Presents UK.
Why Camp Rock Joined the Lineup
The addition of Camp Rock music to this year's setlist follows the August 13 Disney Channel premiere of Camp Rock 3, which reached Disney+ the following day and revived the franchise 16 years after Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. According to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Chase Center event tickets are valid for both bus fare and light rail fare, allowing ticket holders to ride Muni without charge.
