The third annual Hasting Farm Fest is scheduled for Saturday at Clark County Fairgrounds Pavilion, featuring national country music, antique tractors and small-town charity. Country singer Priscilla Block is scheduled for 8 p.m., alongside Dalton Dover and the Matt Clarkson Band.
Hasting, a Clark County native who now calls Nashville home, dreamed up the festival in late 2017 as a way to bring national singer-songwriters and agricultural vendors back to her home county, according to Hasting Farm Fest. She originally pictured hosting it on her family's farm in the northwest part of the county before the idea grew into the larger event now held at the fairgrounds pavilion. The festival schedule lists a 5:30 p.m. slot under the name HASTING.
A Country Headliner
Block's major-label run produced her Platinum single “Just About Over You”; she released her second album, “Things You Didn't See,” in 2025. Block is also an Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Television Award nominee.
Also on the mainstage bill is Dalton Dover, who performs at 6:30 p.m. Dover made his Grand Ole Opry debut, according to AXS TV. Dover's debut track was “You Got a Small Town,” while AXS TV described “Giving Up On That” as his current single in a 2024 profile. AXS TV named him a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch and reported Pandora streams.
Local Acts Fill Out the Afternoon
The Matt Clarkson Band is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
The Matt Clarkson Band isn't new to Springfield's charity circuit. The group was among five acts at the city's Harmony for Hope benefit concert last month, which benefited disaster-relief group Ohio Hope Builders and the Clark County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a charity that builds beds for children in need.
Tractors, a Helicopter and a Veteran's Story
Beyond the music, Saturday's schedule includes a display of antique tractors and farm equipment and a meet-and-greet area with Ohio State football players, per the Springfield News-Sun. Ohio's Country Journal reports the lineup also features an appearance by the Miami Valley Hospital Care Flight emergency medical helicopter team, alongside the farm equipment demonstrations.
Wittenberg University reported in 2022 that Rev. Walter Stitt, then 98, was working on a book. Stitt served as a Sherman tank loader and gunner in the 3rd Armored Division, was wounded twice and earned two Purple Hearts and the French Legion of Honor, according to Wittenberg University, where Stitt graduated in 1963.
Feeding Clark County's Hungry
The festival also includes a kids' area, vendors, community services and demonstrations, plus food, beer and other refreshments, the Springfield News-Sun reports. Proceeds support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties, which served 45,048 individuals and distributed more than 4 million pounds of food in 2025 as food insecurity in Clark County climbed to 16.6%, according to The Giving Block. That figure had previously been measured at 13.1% before recent increases.
