According to FOX 8 News, ShotSpotter technology alerted police to the shooting at about 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 7400 block of Elton Avenue. The 39-year-old victim was found on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound, and officers rendered first aid before EMS pronounced him dead at the scene; shell casings were found in the street.
Officers Responded Within Minutes of the Alert
Per WKYC, it was around 1:26 a.m. Monday when officers from the Second District received a ShotSpotter alert for one shot fired in the 7400 block of Elton Avenue. Responding officers found the victim with a gunshot wound and immediately rendered first aid before EMS arrived and pronounced him dead.
