Rodney Little, 59, faces two counts each of indecent exposure and sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust. New Castle County police accuse him of exposing himself during an online tutoring session with a 12-year-old. He was taken into custody Wednesday and remains held after failing to post $52,000 cash bail, according to police information reported by FOX 29 Philadelphia.
How the investigation developed
Police said the child's parents reported the incident in May 2026. Investigators obtained a recording that they said showed Little leave his seat while remaining in view of the camera. Authorities described the recording as showing him wearing clothing above the waist but not below it, according to FOX 29's account of the police information.
Police said Little had worked as an independent contractor for an unnamed online tutoring platform since 2014. The platform suspended him after learning of the allegation and gave investigators additional recordings that authorities described as involving similar conduct with other alleged victims. Police have not identified the platform and said they believe other students may have been affected.
Current status and related case
Little is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington while the investigation continues. The New Castle County Police Department has urged anyone with information to come forward, as reported by FOX 29.
The case follows a separate New Castle County investigation announced in March 2025, when a 39-year-old middle school teacher was arrested on 17 felony charges, including sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust, after allegedly exchanging explicit messages with an eighth-grade student. That earlier case was reported by the Delaware Department of Justice's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
A separate Delaware ICAC case
According to State of Delaware News, Seaford pastor James R. Dryden was arrested Feb. 15 following an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation and charged with 10 felony counts of dealing in child pornography. That case involved allegations of possessing or downloading child sexual abuse material, not exposure during an online tutoring session, and the state announcement does not by itself establish how common such reports involving Delaware children are.
