Denver is starting Tuesday with low temperatures in the low 50s, but the afternoon will feel much warmer, with highs in the low 80s. A slight chance of showers arrives after noon, followed by a small chance of thunderstorms through the evening.
The National Weather Service says any Tuesday showers could be high-based, meaning some rain may evaporate before reaching the ground. Even so, passing showers could produce gusty outflow winds of up to 35 mph, while the overall chance of precipitation remains around 20%.
Clouds Build Before A Cooler Thursday
Wednesday will bring another chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The wetter shift arrives Wednesday night, when the chance of one or two rounds of showers rises to 55% and temperatures fall to around 57.
Showers remain possible Thursday, with scattered showers later in the day and a cooler high in the upper 60s. No watches, warnings or advisories are currently listed for the Denver-area forecast zone.
Weekend Warmup Returns
Friday brings mostly sunny skies and a high near 77, although a few afternoon showers or thunderstorms remain possible. Saturday and Sunday look like the week’s easiest outdoor days, with sunny skies and temperatures a few degrees warmer than normal.
Tuesday and Wednesday should work for most outdoor plans, but afternoon skies may become less predictable. The unsettled stretch peaks from Wednesday night into Thursday before warmer, drier weather settles back in for the weekend.
