Thursday stays humid and unsettled, with a high near 88 and another chance for storms.
Cooler Weekend Weather Finally Shows Up
Friday brings more showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 83 and a 70% chance of rain before conditions begin to settle. Saturday should turn mostly sunny near 80 degrees, followed by a cooler night around 61. Next Sunday looks like the weekend standout, with sunshine and a high near 78.
Detroit Residents Can Find Relief From The Heat
The City of Detroit says residents can seek relief from excessive heat at recreation centers during normal operating hours, while extended cooling-center hours are available when a heat emergency is declared. Public library branches also offer an indoor option during their regular hours. With storms possible later, residents should check conditions before heading out and avoid driving through water-covered streets.
