
A $7 million renovation of a former downtown St. Louis building has produced Cordovan on the Park, a new loft development at 500 North 13th Street. Coffeestamp, a new coffee shop, opened at 1228 Washington Avenue on Friday, Sept. 25.
The project transforms the former Rudman property into residential lofts, according to STLtoday.com. The outlet identifies Oliver Properties, described as a downtown St. Louis real estate investor, as the firm behind the overhaul, which converts the older building into the Cordovan on the Park lofts.
Per the same report, Oliver Properties is wrapping up the renovation of the downtown Rudman building as it nears completion. Coffeestamp opened at 1228 Washington Avenue on Friday, Sept. 25, giving downtown residents and workers a fresh spot to grab a cup on their way in or out of the neighborhood.

The renovation and the accompanying coffee shop mark the latest addition to downtown St. Louis's mix of converted residential buildings. The property features 74 updated apartments.
