Law & Order fans can once again eat, pose and shop their way through a courtroom-drama fantasy in Midtown this fall. The Dun Dun Diner is returning to 16 W. 51st St. in Manhattan for a two-day run on October 9 and 10, 2026, offering both a free option and a $30 sit-down meal built around some of New York City's most famous eateries.
The pop-up will host a combined Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU experience, according to PIX11. Reservations for the paid, seated dining experience open Friday at noon Eastern, per the event's Tock listing, which notes the full sit-down option runs $30 per person for parties of four or fewer. That reservation includes a themed photo opportunity, food and beverages from the Dun Dun Diner menu, and a merchandise bag, the listing states.
Visitors who don't want to pay can still get in on the action. Tickets for the Grab & Go experience are free and handed out first-come, first-served, granting access any time during a visitor's selected day to a themed photo opportunity and select merchandise items, according to the same Tock page. The event is timed to NBC's 100th anniversary and the debut of new seasons of both Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU from Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television, the listing notes.
A Menu Built From New York Institutions
The seated dining experience leans heavily on the city's culinary landmarks rather than standard diner fare. The menu includes collaborations with Ess-a-Bagel, Katz's Deli, Magnolia Bakery and Serendipity3, according to DoNYC. Paying guests also get interactive photo opportunities built around memorable cases and iconic characters from the franchise, per PIX11's reporting.
Us Magazine reports that the paid dine-in option includes a featured dish and dessert alongside merchandise and a number of interactive extras. That outlet also notes this year's version of the pop-up takes over Bill's Bar & Burger in Rockefeller Center, according to Us Magazine.
How This Compares to Last Year's Pop-Up
This isn't the franchise's first crack at turning courtroom drama into a dining destination. A similar Dun Dun Diner pop-up ran at Rockefeller Center from October 3 through October 5, 2025, timed to premieres of Law & Order Season 25 and Law & Order: SVU Season 27 just days earlier, according to Variety. That 2025 event was created to celebrate Law & Order's 25th season, as reported by TODAY.
Last year's version was also free but required first-come, first-served reservations, and it took place at 1 Rockefeller Plaza rather than the West 51st Street address, per Variety's reporting. That earlier pop-up featured partnerships with Milk Bar and Dinner Service NY, plus limited-edition merchandise and interactive imagery pulled from the show, according to NBC. TODAY's coverage of that visit also described memorabilia on display, including the show's first script and suits worn by Jerry Orbach and Jesse L. Martin.
Merchandise partner Dinner Service, which also worked on last year's capsule, has said its Law & Order production line steers away from polyester and other synthetic fabrics, according to the company's own statement on its website. Whether this year's merchandise capsule carries the same claim was not specified in available materials.
Fans hoping to snag a spot at this year's sit-down experience will want to move fast once reservations open Friday at noon, given the free option's first-come, first-served structure and the limited two-day window at the Midtown location.
