The internet's most durable history class is coming to Thornton Park. Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD, the duo behind Epic Rap Battles of History, will perform at The Abbey on October 2, kicking off a four-stop Florida headlining tour that also hits Bradenton, Gainesville, and Tallahassee.
According to Orlando Weekly, the show at The Abbey, located at 100 S. Eola Drive, starts at 8 p.m. and tickets run $44. The comedic YouTube channel has built its reputation on surrealist, historically flavored rap feuds pitting unlikely figures against each other, from Henry Ford versus Karl Marx to Hitler versus Darth Vader, J.R.R. Tolkien versus George R.R. Martin, Jim Henson versus Stan Lee, and even Terminator versus RoboCop. The series has racked up billions of clicks and drawn guest appearances from Key & Peele, T-Pain, and Weird Al, per the same report.
A Four-City Florida Run Follows a Starbomb Support Slot
Orlando marks the opening night of ERB's headlining Florida swing, with the tour continuing to Oscura in Bradenton on October 3, The Wooly in Gainesville on October 4, and Duke's & Dottie's in Tallahassee on October 5, according to Epic Rap Battles of History's own tour listing. The Florida dates come right on the heels of a run across North America where Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD served as an opening act for the comedy music group Starbomb in late September, as noted on the group's Facebook page.
Regional promoter Glory Days Presents is producing the Florida leg, including the Orlando stop, per event listing information provided through EVENTIM. Venue rules for The Abbey show require attendees to be 18 or older, with doors opening at 7 p.m. ahead of the 8 p.m. set. Ticket holders under 21 will face a $5 cash surcharge at the door, per the same listing.
From Viral Clicks to a 7,500-Square-Foot Stage
Epic Rap Battles of History first launched on September 26, 2010, with a video titled “John Lennon vs. Bill O'Reilly,” initially hosted on Nice Peter's personal channel before the creators spun off a dedicated ERB channel for its second season, according to Wikipedia. Sixteen years later, the official channel has grown to more than 15.1 million subscribers and over 4.34 billion total views across 92 published episodes as of August 2026, the same source reports.
The series has also crossed over into the music industry in a way few YouTube channels have. In July 2013, its “Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney” episode became the first YouTube music video ever to earn a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, according to Wikipedia. The channel has since piled up at least 11 RIAA Gold certifications overall, for tracks including “Darth Vader vs. Hitler,” “Einstein vs. Stephen Hawking,” and “Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates.” Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD have also picked up two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series, in 2016 and 2017, along with five Streamy Awards, according to Voyage LA.
That kind of digital-era résumé is now landing in an intimate club setting. The Abbey sits on the ground level of The Sanctuary high-rise in Orlando's Thornton Park district, offering 7,000 to 7,500 square feet of space with a 20-by-30-foot elevated stage and a full-service lounge bar, according to Downtown Orlando. It's a considerably smaller stage than the heavily produced, multi-costume video sets that made the channel famous, but it puts Orlando fans within arm's reach of a franchise that built its name pitting Tom Cruise against Evel Knievel and inviting viewers to weigh in with the show's signature tagline: who won, who's next, you decide.
