According to KIRO 7, Lilly was brought to the station needing assistance as she went into labor, and the Ladder 1 team on shift jumped into action. The crew delivered two Chihuahua puppies right there at the station, turning a nerve-wracking moment for Lilly's owner into a happy ending.

The outlet reports the Everett Fire Department confirmed that mama Lilly and her new little ones are doing well following the delivery. It's the kind of call firefighters don't train for in the traditional sense, but the Ladder 1 crew handled it without missing a beat.
Per the same account, the department had a bit of fun with the unusual assist, saying the Ladder 1 crew can now add “puppy delivery” to their résumés alongside the more typical duties of fighting fires and responding to medical emergencies.
