A 23-year-old Farmington Hills man accused in a federal child sexual abuse investigation has pleaded guilty in federal court in Detroit. Justin Miller now faces sentencing in a case that federal authorities say involved the production of child sexual abuse material and ties to a violent online extremist network.
According to ClickOnDetroit, Miller used multiple aliases across social media platforms and produced and possessed child sexual abuse material, according to the FBI. Federal authorities say Miller was involved with members of the 764 network, which investigators described as a group of nihilistic violent extremists, and that he established a relationship with another member of that network.
Officials also accuse Miller of involvement in animal torture, child exploitation videos and threats, the station's report states. Federal agents credited the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline with helping lead investigators to Miller. Per the same account, Miller confessed after his arrest to creating rules for self-harm channels and to directing minor girls to engage in sexualized activities.
How the Investigation Began
Earlier reporting from the Detroit News detailed how federal agents initially sought to charge Miller with production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, coercion and enticement of a minor, and two counts of interstate transmission of extortionate threats and threatening communications, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Investigators said a National Center for Missing & Exploited Children database search turned up tips about the same username sharing child sexually abusive material between May and June 2023.
FBI agents said they began investigating in August 2024 after allegations surfaced that a juvenile had been a victim of 764's criminal conduct. The FBI executed a search warrant at Miller's Farmington Hills home on September 10, 2025, seizing his phone, gaming computer and Spectrum router, according to a separate ClickOnDetroit report. Investigators said Miller admitted to using variations of the name “swampy” on social media and messaging platforms, and told investigators that his phone contained images and videos depicting girls between the ages of 15 and 16.
A Wider Pattern Tied to the CyberTipline
The Detroit News reported that online enticement reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline jumped to 518,720 this year from 292,951 in 2024, with sadistic online enticement reports rising to 1,093 from 508 the previous year. The outlet also noted other Michigan cases tied to similar online exploitation networks, including Richard Densmore of Kaleva, who was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison for sexually exploiting a girl as part of the same online child pornography network, and 18-year-old Jolyan Raeed Zahrah of Macomb Township, whom FBI agents accused of sharing child pornography and possessing photos of tortured animals.

Miller is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court on January 6, 2027, and the case remains under federal jurisdiction, according to ClickOnDetroit. Authorities may release additional details as the proceedings continue.
