A clerk at a Forney-area gas station was shoved and threatened with death during a robbery last week, and Kaufman County authorities say the 17-year-old suspect is now behind bars. Deputies responded to the Forney Quick Mart - Chevron at approximately 8:16 p.m. on September 15 after the clerk reported the robbery to investigators.
According to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, the suspect pushed the clerk and issued threats to kill them before fleeing the store, located at 16339 FM 548. Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the store and identified the suspect as 17-year-old Tamarvion Emeory, whose date of birth is listed as December 16, 2008, per the Greenville Chronicle. Emeory is also known by the nickname “Tank.”
Warrant Led to Manhunt and Arrest
The sheriff's office obtained a robbery warrant for Emeory, which a municipal judge approved, the report notes. Investigator Justin Guy then issued a be-on-the-lookout alert on September 18 that included a surveillance image of Emeory, and authorities located and arrested him just hours later, according to the same account.
Emeory was booked into the Kaufman County Jail at 6:17 a.m. on September 19 on the robbery charge, with bond set at $75,000, the Greenville Chronicle reports. The sheriff's office confirmed that the suspect is now in custody. Per released information, the incident resulted in no reported injuries.
