Golden Entertainment is extending its linked-progressive model from taverns to casino bars, connecting eligible video poker and keno machines at seven Nevada properties. Qualifying jackpots accumulate across the network instead of being confined to one machine or casino, with eligible wagers starting at $1 and the top advertised jackpot reaching $500,000.
According to Golden Casino Group, the program is “connecting eligible video poker and keno machines across seven Golden Entertainment casino properties,” allowing progressive jackpots to build as guests play qualifying games. The participating casino bars include The Strat and Arizona Charlie's Decatur and Boulder in Las Vegas, along with properties in Laughlin and Pahrump, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
How the Jackpots Climb and Reset
The linked games include select video poker royal flush and aces-with-a-kicker progressives, as well as keno progressives, according to Golden Casino Group. The company says qualifying machines accept wagers as low as $1 and can offer jackpots of up to $500,000. Designated signage identifies participating machines, while displays at the casino bars show the current progressive totals.
Golden Entertainment's tavern arm has already tested a similar concept on a larger scale. The company's PT's Taverns network began rolling out its Giant Keno Progressive across 65 Southern Nevada locations starting Oct. 22, 2025, according to a PT's Taverns press release. That system linked more than 820 video poker and keno machines, with players qualifying by wagering just $1 on clearly marked bartop machines at any PT's Tavern location.
What Nevada rules require
Golden’s casino and tavern programs also reflect different operating footprints. The company’s casino-properties page says it owns seven Nevada casino resorts, including The STRAT, alongside properties in Las Vegas, Laughlin and Pahrump. The casino-bar progressive therefore links resort gaming locations, while the separate PT’s Taverns system connects neighborhood tavern venues across Southern Nevada.
A Record Payout at the Taverns
The tavern-based progressive started at $100,000 and could grow daily up to $200,000 before resetting to $10,000 once hit, the release states. Yogonet described the program as the first of its kind among Nevada tavern operators, and noted that PT's Taverns also runs a seven-spot keno progressive starting at $7,000 and a nine-spot progressive starting at $10,000, both on $1 wagers, alongside royal flush progressives beginning at $1,000 on quarter machines and $4,000 on dollar machines.
That network paid off in a big way last month. A patron at PT's Gold in Las Vegas won a progressive keno jackpot of $305,889.44 from a $1 spin, according to PokerNews, which reported the payout as the largest Nevada keno jackpot ever in a restricted gaming environment. After the win, the participating PT's Tavern progressives reset to $50,000 as the countdown to the next big hit began again.
Millions Awarded Since Launch
The tavern progressives have proven lucrative well beyond that single record win. Per Casino Life Magazine, the taverns have awarded over $3 million in jackpots since the program's debut, with more than 600 wins recorded across the linked progressives, including 258 seven-spot keno wins totaling more than $1.85 million.
Golden Entertainment is now applying the linked-progressive concept in two settings: its casino bars and its PT's Tavern locations. In both cases, the jackpot amount depends on the network total and the qualifying game’s published terms, giving players in Las Vegas, Laughlin and Pahrump access to linked jackpots without having to move between properties.
