A 55-year-old Greenville County woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of trafficking cocaine and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Crystal Kay Sarratt was also ordered to pay a $100,000 fine, according to officials.
The 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office reported Sarratt's convictions and sentencing, according to WYFF News 4. Per the outlet, Sarratt was convicted on both the trafficking cocaine charge and the methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute charge, and she was sentenced to the 25-year term in prison as a result.
What Investigators Found at the Home
The case traces back to a search warrant executed at Sarratt's home on Aug. 15, 2023. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office carried out the search and uncovered methamphetamine, cocaine, scales, bags containing drug residue and other paraphernalia, according to Fox Carolina.
The station's report specifies that the sentence handed down was 25 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections, paired with the $100,000 fine. Evidence presented at trial showed that the items found at Sarratt's home indicated drug distribution, the same report notes.

Sarratt was sentenced to serve her time in the South Carolina Department of Corrections rather than through a federal system.

Sarratt's sentencing follows other drug prosecutions tied to the Greenville area. A Drug Enforcement Administration press-release archive snippet indicates that Keowsha Golden, 36, of Greenville, was sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy, according to the DEA press-release archive.
