A 59-year-old Greer man died Tuesday afternoon after the riding lawnmower he was using went off an embankment along Danny Lynn Drive and overturned onto him, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office. Family members found Charles Satterfield trapped underneath the mower, and officials said he was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:10 p.m.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office is investigating the fatal accident, as reported by FOX Carolina News. According to the coroner, the mower traveled off the embankment before flipping onto Satterfield, leaving him pinned beneath the machine until relatives discovered him.
