Sunny Wednesday, Then More Storms
Wednesday looks sunnier and cooler, with a high near 87 but continued northeast winds gusting as high as 31 mph. Shower and thunderstorm chances return Thursday and continue into the weekend, with daily chances near 50% to 60% from Thursday through Sunday. Anyone heading to the beach should be especially cautious in the surf, while inland residents can expect a breezier but more comfortable midweek stretch.
No watches, warnings or advisories are currently in effect for the Jacksonville area, but conditions near the coast could become hazardous quickly once the northeast wind surge arrives Tuesday. Tonight will remain partly cloudy with a low around 77, so the overnight break from the heat will be limited.
