Henderson’s Inspirada police substation and dispatch center has been staffed and operating since August, ahead of a public open house planned for Tuesday evening. The West Henderson facility brings patrol units, emergency dispatch and officer training together in a part of the city officials describe as its fastest-growing area.
A Multi-Purpose Hub for the West Side
The facility houses West Patrol units, a combined 911 and 311 dispatch center, and the city’s police academy, according to FOX5 Vegas. The arrangement places those services in West Henderson rather than relying solely on resources based elsewhere in the city.
The opening comes with a reported 20% increase in patrol staffing, intended to improve response times for about 126,000 residents on the west side, the outlet reports. That figure describes the population the facility is meant to serve; it does not by itself show how response times have changed.
Mayor Points to Growth as the Driver
Mayor Michelle Romero described West Henderson as the city’s “area of greatest growth” and said the facility is intended to help residents get assistance as quickly as possible, according to the station’s report.
The substation is one part of the city’s response to growth in West Henderson, with patrol staffing and dispatch services now based at the Inspirada facility, the station reported.
What public safety records show
Henderson Police Department says its 2025 Public Safety Update reported that officer vacancies fell from 57 to 20 in three months. That department-wide staffing figure does not establish an effect on West Henderson response times, according to the Henderson Police Department information reviewed here. Separately, Henderson added fire-response infrastructure in the area: Fire Station 92 opened in May 2025, according to TJK Engineers. It is a fire station, distinct from the Inspirada police substation.
Open House Set for Tuesday
Henderson police will host a public open house Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at 2222 Via Inspirada. The event will include building tours, K-9 and SWAT displays, and e-bike safety demonstrations, according to FOX5 Vegas.
Residents will be able to tour the facility and meet some of the officers and dispatchers working there. The event offers a public look inside a substation that has been operating since August.
