SMKD BBQ's brisket has found a new home just off the Las Vegas Strip. SMKD BBQ has opened a food cart on the upper concourse of T-Mobile Arena, giving the neighborhood barbecue spot its first taste of arena crowds.
A Partnership Announced Thursday
The cart is the product of a partnership between SMKD BBQ and the arena, with the restaurant announcing the deal on Thursday, according to neon.reviewjournal.com. The Las Vegas Review-Journal headlined its report by framing the move as a neighborhood barbecue restaurant opening an outpost on the Strip, while the related dining report specifically describes the addition as a food cart on the arena's upper concourse rather than a standalone restaurant.
SMKD BBQ comes from chef Alex Reznik and Ogden Hospitality, the same team behind the original Henderson location. Reznik opened SMKD in November 2025 at 10895 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 130, giving Henderson diners their first look at the menu before it made the jump toward downtown Las Vegas crowds.
What's on the Arena Menu
The arena cart's menu leans on the same smoked meats that built SMKD's reputation in Henderson. The Power Play headlines the lineup, built from chopped smoked brisket and pulled pork, and it shares menu space with The Pig Which, The White Mama and Pig Candy, per the same dining report.
The move puts SMKD in the middle of a broader stretch of barbecue spots testing whether Strip-adjacent foot traffic can support smoked meat that started in a neighborhood kitchen. SoulBelly BBQ offers a recent point of comparison.
SoulBelly Locations
SoulBelly has a location on South Main Street.
SoulBelly opened a 2026 outpost at the Miracle Mile Shops food court, according to vegas.eater.com.
For now, SMKD's arrival inside T-Mobile Arena marks an expansion for the Henderson restaurant, giving barbecue fans another smoked option to track down between events on the Strip.
