The performance is set to begin at 7 p.m., according to an event announcement from Leonetti and Bird posted to Facebook. As KTNV reports, the show is billed as a high-energy variety act designed to bring classic Las Vegas entertainment back to the stage, folding in music, comedy and old-school showmanship alongside a tribute to the sounds of Louis Prima. Onstage, Leonetti and Bird perform under the personas “The Mic Man” and “The Birdman,” and the event is structured as a continuous 90-minute live music and comedy variety show, according to an earlier Facebook posting of the event. Bird's involvement traces back to his day job: he serves as Entertainment Director for The Vegas Voice, where he regularly produces and hosts live musical variety events and holiday specials aimed at Southern Nevada senior audiences, the same publication notes. That role helps explain how the co-headlining pairing with Leonetti came together for a senior-community audience.
From Kitchen to Cabaret
Leonetti, who hosts The Mike Leonetti Variety Show, didn't start out as a performer — he worked as a culinary chef before shifting into live music, lounge entertainment and media broadcasting in Las Vegas, according to background shared on YouTube. Leonetti has also kept a busy footprint across the valley's live music scene beyond this new date, including weekend residencies at the Ahern Hotel in 2024 and a live performance at Maxan Jazz in August, according to an Eventbrite listing.
Beyond the stage, Leonetti has a separate chapter to his public life: he authored a memoir titled Deceit, Corruption, Cover-Up: A True Story Written by Michael Leonetti, the Innocent Victim, which recounts personal legal struggles and perseverance, according to a YouTube posting referencing the book.

The show's musical tribute to Louis Prima ties directly into Las Vegas lounge history. Prima, along with Keely Smith and Sam Butera, debuted at the Sahara Hotel's Casbar Lounge in December 1954, a booking that helped establish the all-night lounge variety act format that came to define the Strip, according to Casino.org.
“Two of a Kind” also includes a tribute drum solo honoring Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa, per KTNV's report.
