Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in Hollywood Park led police to investigate suspected mail theft involving nearly 400 pieces of mail and parcels, counterfeit postal keys, firearms and methamphetamine. KSAT 12 reported that Sean Martinez, 37, and Skylar Carter, 33, were booked into the Bexar County Jail on multiple charges.
The Hollywood Park Police Department said the investigation began Sept. 15, when officers stopped a vehicle with stolen license plates in the 1000 block of North Loop 1604 East, according to KSAT. Police said the investigation subsequently uncovered nearly 400 pieces of mail and parcels believed to have been taken from multiple addresses around Hollywood Park.
Counterfeit Keys and a Cache of Weapons
Police reported finding counterfeit postal master keys, burglary tools and vehicle diagnostic theft devices during the investigation, according to KSAT 12. The reported evidence also included a loaded firearm, an AR-style rifle, rifle components, a handgun kit, ammunition and other counterfeit tools.
Officers also reported finding methamphetamine, as noted by KSAT 12. Investigators later searched Martinez's home and a hotel room connected to both suspects and said they recovered additional stolen mail.

According to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, people can reduce mail-theft risks by promptly collecting mail and avoiding leaving letters or packages in a mailbox or at the door for extended periods. Victims and witnesses of mail-related crimes should alert Postal Inspectors.
Charges and Bond Amounts
Martinez and Carter were detained and booked into the Bexar County Jail, according to the report. Martinez faces multiple charges, including mail theft-related offenses, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, unlawful conduct involving mail keys and locks, drug possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His combined bond was set at $87,500, per KSAT 12.
Carter faces charges including fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, unlawful conduct involving mail keys and locks, drug possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm, the same account notes. Her combined bond was set at $40,000. The charges are allegations, and the case has not been adjudicated.
