Rain Chances Rise Thursday
Showers become more likely Wednesday night, when skies turn mostly cloudy and temperatures dip only to around 79 degrees. Showers are expected to increase overnight.
Thursday looks cloudier and wetter, with a high near 87, a 60% chance of showers and east-northeast winds of 15 to 20 mph. The weather service says moisture will increase late Wednesday into early Friday, bringing a greater chance of heavier showers, isolated thunderstorms and flooding concerns, especially in windward and mountain areas.
Weekend Trends Drier, But Trades Stay Strong
Friday should remain showery, with moisture decreasing late in the day before conditions ease somewhat over the weekend. Saturday through Monday will still feature scattered showers and breezy trades.
Beach plans may also need a quick forecast check: east-facing surf is expected to build through Thursday, while south-facing surf gradually rises toward the weekend. North-facing shores should remain flat to tiny, and the strongest showers are most likely from late Wednesday night through early Friday.
