Hot and humid conditions will continue through the morning, while southerly winds stay generally light. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives after 3 p.m., but rain coverage should remain limited, with a 20% chance overall.
The National Weather Service Houston/Galveston advises residents to drink plenty of fluids, use air conditioning or shade, and limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day. Anyone working outside should take frequent breaks, and heat stroke symptoms require an immediate call to 911.
Storm Chances Increase Later This Week
Wednesday will look similar, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 93. The precipitation chance is 10%, with only isolated or stray storms, while Thursday brings increased coastal precipitation.
Friday into the weekend, precipitation probabilities remain minimal while heat and humidity continue.
Sticky Nights Offer Little Relief
Tuesday night's low will only fall to around 79. Overnight lows remain in the upper 70s to low 80s through the week, so the forecast offers plenty of sunshine but not much of a break from the humidity.
