The former Lucky's Market space at 200 N. Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville is getting new life this week as Saraga International Grocery prepares to open its doors. The roughly 34,000-square-foot store is set for a grand opening Thursday, September 24, at 10 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to follow an hour later.
According to WHAS11, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg is expected to join Saraga for the 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting, marking the store's official arrival at the busy Hurstbourne Parkway location. The grocer will offer shoppers a new option at the Hurstbourne Parkway location.
What Shoppers Can Expect on Opening Day
WHAS11 reports that Saraga will offer special discounts throughout the store for the grand opening. After the opening-day promotions, the store plans to operate daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., giving Louisville shoppers another option for international foods and fresh groceries.
The Louisville debut also comes with job opportunities. The station's report notes that Saraga is hiring on an ongoing basis for the new location, with openings in cashier, grocery, meat, seafood, warehouse, cleaning and supervisory roles.
