Jackpot, the bass-heavy dance music festival that has anchored downtown Las Vegas' New Year's season for the better part of a decade, is packing up and moving a few blocks over. The event's fifth edition, set for December 25-26, 2026, will now take place at the Llama Lot on Fremont East instead of the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, where it has been held for the past ten years.
The shift comes after the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center's operators announced in January that a portion of the decade-old venue would be converted into a self-parking lot to meet growing neighborhood parking demand, according to Las Vegas Weekly. Executives tied to Circa Resort & Casino, which operates DLVEC, acknowledged the financial logic behind the pivot, telling BrooklynVegan that parking now offers more predictable revenue than outdoor live entertainment. As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center had hosted RVLTN Events' larger-capacity shows, including Jackpot's entire run, before closing earlier this spring.
A Farewell Rave Before the Lights Went Out
DLVEC didn't go quietly. The venue hosted a final major dance event on May 14, featuring a back-to-back set from DJs Hardwell and Maddix during EDC Week, per the same account and corroborated by Las Vegas Weekly's own coverage of the week's club scene. The closure also rippled beyond Jackpot: organizers of the indie/emo Best Friends Forever Festival, which had used DLVEC for two consecutive years, announced they were pausing their 2026 event entirely, with plans to return at a new site in 2027, BrooklynVegan reported.
Jackpot's new home at 900 E. Fremont St. is no stranger to big crowds. The Llama Lot spans 3.73 acres, or roughly 120,000 square feet, of outdoor event space with an estimated standing capacity of 8,000 attendees, according to data compiled by Cvent. The lot has hosted large-scale programming before, having previously housed one of the stages at the Life Is Beautiful music festival, the Review-Journal noted.
Why Borusiewicz Says the Move Makes Sense
Joe Borusiewicz, co-founder and director of business development at RVLTN Events, told the Review-Journal that Jackpot naturally belongs downtown and that the new footprint will include additional activations and elements that weren't available at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. RVLTN, which Borusiewicz co-founded with Marcel Correa around 2014 under the name Ravealation to throw all-ages dance parties for local fans, has since grown into what the Review-Journal describes as Las Vegas' biggest independent electronic music promoter.
That growth has included a permanent footprint downtown beyond outdoor festivals. In July 2024, RVLTN opened SUBSTANCE, an 18,000-square-foot indoor venue at the Neonopolis complex, in partnership with global promoter Insomniac, Las Vegas Weekly reported at the time.
From Regional Curiosity to Bass-Music Flagship
Jackpot's numbers back up the ambition behind the move. The festival, which launched in December 2022 as an 18-and-over alternative to Strip nightlife under the name Jackpot NYE with headliners Deadmau5 and Porter Robinson, drew more than 20,000 fans in 2025 and sold out both nights, per the Review-Journal. Subtronics and Zeds Dead headlined that 2025 edition, which sold tickets in 40 of 50 states even without direct marketing in those markets, Borusiewicz told the outlet.
“Jackpot naturally belongs downtown,” Borusiewicz said, according to the Review-Journal, framing the festival's identity around its home turf even as the venue changes. The Review-Journal reports the festival has become a regional flagship bass-music event, and organizers are targeting a combined crowd of 30,000 or more for the 2026 edition, with plans to attract more out-of-town travelers while still serving local fans, including service and hospitality workers who get a dedicated opportunity to attend.
Lineup, Tickets, and Hotel Packages
This year's bill features Crankdat, Grizz, Ganja White Night, Levity, Alleycvt, Whethan, and other bass-music performers, according to the Review-Journal. The festival, which takes place the weekend before New Year's Eve, is also offering hotel room deals with nearby properties for the December 25-26 dates. Jackpot's relocation lands amid a broader reshuffling of downtown Las Vegas' outdoor music scene. Fremont East has become increasingly defined by electronic music programming, from the free block-party series Feed The Block, co-produced by Wynn Nightlife and Corner Bar Management, which hosted Marshmello for its anniversary event in April, to the multi-stage Neon City Festival that downtown casino operators launched in November 2024 during Formula 1 race weekend, as Hoodline has reported. The moves echo a wider pattern of Las Vegas festivals seeking new footprints, with Hoodline also detailing the recent relocation of Paradice Festival to Red Rock's Sandbar.
