Just the Crust has slid its last pie out of the oven. The Long Branch pizzeria on Norwood Avenue announced on social media Tuesday that it must permanently close its doors after serving the community for two years, ending a run that began in October 2024.
The pizza shop opened at 11 Norwood Avenue, according to New Jersey 101.5. The station reports the pizzeria made hundreds of pizzas over its two years in business, and in its closing message thanked customers for every order, laugh, and night spent around its tables before saying it was officially closing its doors.
Just the Crust earned a local following for its pizzas, including its Stratiatelli pesto pie, alongside sandwiches, salads, and octopus appetizers, according to details compiled by WanderBoat AI. New Jersey 101.5 notes the shop also served a Stratiatelli pesto pie and Caesar salad, and that customers praised both the food and the staff, including an employee named Arturo, with many saying they will miss the restaurant now that it's gone.

Just the Crust had also joined the autumn 2025 Jersey Shore Restaurant Week roster alongside fellow Monmouth County venues Johnny Piancone's and Charley's Ocean Grill, as reported by Patch.
Part of a Wider Wave of Closures
The shutdown lands amid a rough stretch for restaurants across the region. The New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island metropolitan area recorded 491 restaurant closures in the first half of 2026, leading all U.S. metro markets in location shutdowns, according to industry tracker RestaurantData.com.
