Storm Chances Rise Late Saturday
Saturday should stay mostly sunny through much of the morning, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s by midday and the mid-90s during the afternoon. Shower and thunderstorm chances increase from late afternoon into the evening, with the strongest window for isolated storms generally running from about 3 p.m. into the evening.
Most storms should be hit-or-miss, but brief gusty winds are possible. The heat breaks quickly Sunday, when mostly sunny skies and northeast winds are expected to hold the high near 86 degrees. Sunday night should be mostly clear with a low around 65, followed by a sunny Labor Day near 90 degrees.
