A Jefferson County judge sentenced Anthony Trabue to seven and a half years in prison Thursday in connection with the death of Michael Wehdah, an off-duty Louisville corrections officer whose body was found in a Russell alley in February 2025.
Trabue entered a plea in July to second-degree manslaughter and criminal facilitation, according to the Louisville Courier Journal. The paper reported on the case. Prosecutors discussed the shooting and robbery as part of the case. The 606 Lawyer legal blog discussed Kentucky's violent-offender statute, KRS 439.3401, and an 85-percent rule.
