According to the National Weather Service Louisville office, Monday will bring a north wind of 3 to 8 mph and a 20% chance of precipitation in the city. No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for the local forecast area.
Storm Risk Stays Mostly South And East
Most Louisville neighborhoods have only a small rain chance Monday, but the broader region could see scattered thunderstorms late Monday afternoon or evening, especially southeast of the Western Kentucky and Bluegrass parkways. The weather service says a few stronger storms there could bring locally damaging winds, so outdoor plans south of town should keep an eye on changing skies.
Tuesday Brings A Real Temperature Reset
Tuesday looks mostly cloudy with a high near 77 and a low near 61, with only a small chance of rain. Wednesday could bring showers, with area-wide highs in the 70s, while Thursday brings a return of sunshine and highs in the 70s.
Temperatures Moderate By The Weekend
Highs may return to the 80s by Sunday.
The cooler outlook is a substantive change from Sunday's forecast, which called for another near-96-degree day before the pattern broke, as Hoodline previously reported. This time, the weather whiplash finally appears to be heading in the direction of fall, even if Louisville is not quite ready to put away the shorts.
