Seattle sports fans can now wear their Mariners loyalty from head to toe, thanks to a new sneaker collaboration between the ballclub and hometown running brand Brooks. The limited-edition Mariners Adrenaline GTS 4 sold out in every size at the Mariners Team Store on September 17, and a fresh batch is set to go on sale again this week at Brooks' own Fremont headquarters.
Brooks, a Seattle-based shoe and running company, partnered with the Mariners on the sneaker as part of a collaboration celebrating the franchise's 50th MLB season, according to the Kitsap Sun. The shoe carries a $150 price tag, per the Seattle Times, and features Mariners team colors along with an S logo stitched onto both the tongue and the top of the laces.
The design leans heavily into franchise history. The Kitsap Sun's report notes the sneaker references the Mariners' founding year of 1977, while a separate white lace set carries the words “holy smokes” printed on the aglet — a nod to longtime radio announcer Rick Rizzs, who is retiring at the end of the season. A second lace option comes stitched in red to resemble the seams of a baseball.
Second Chance at Brooks' Fremont Headquarters
Fans who missed out on the sellout won't have to wait long for another shot. Brooks will launch the Mariners Adrenaline GTS 4 again on September 24 at a community run event held at its Stone Way headquarters location, according to the same Kitsap Sun report. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with a three-mile walk and run that starts and ends at Brooks' Stone Way site, with the shoe officially going on sale at 7 p.m. that same night.
Design specifics on the sneaker line up with an earlier drop reported by Sole Retriever, which described a teal and deep blue leather overlay set against a white mesh base, with “Seattle Mariners EST. 1977” printed along the tongue stabilizer. That outlet confirmed the shoe first dropped at the Mariners Team Store on September 17.
A Wider Push Into Seattle Sports Culture
The sneaker isn't a standalone project. Brooks has also pursued several Pacific Northwest team partnerships. Brooks became the presenting sponsor of the Mariners' “Kids Run the Bases” program and the Microsoft Salmon Run in-game mascot race, an arrangement that included signing all four Mariners salmon mascots to its roster, according to MLB.com.
Brooks has since branched out beyond baseball. The Kitsap Sun reports that Brooks signed Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp as a brand ambassador this month, and the company also announced a separate limited-edition Ghost Max 4 collaboration with the Seattle Kraken in September. That Kraken tie-in follows an earlier Ghost 17 release the brand did with the hockey team in 2024, according to the Seattle Hockey Team Store.
Brooks isn't the only shoe brand chasing Seattle team spirit. Nike released its own Seahawks-branded shoe collaboration in August, ahead of the 2026 NFL season, the Kitsap Sun notes. The pattern reflects Brooks' rising commercial momentum, with the company reporting that its Ghost and Adrenaline models together had more than 10% market share in U.S. retail, according to Brooks Running.
Deep Roots in Seattle
Brooks has been building out its physical presence in the city alongside these sports tie-ins. The company expanded its global headquarters campus in Fremont in January 2025, growing to nearly 250,000 square feet across Stone Way North to support more than 500 local corporate employees, per Brooks Running.
Brooks also grew its Seattle retail footprint this year beyond that Fremont flagship, opening a standalone shop at U Village in a space previously occupied by Eddie Bauer. Combined with the Mariners sneaker's quick sellout and the upcoming Fremont relaunch, the moves underline how central local sports partnerships have become to the running company's identity as it leans further into fan-facing lifestyle drops.
