A Fairfax County grand jury has indicted a 43-year-old Maryland man on a second-degree murder charge in the stabbing death of a 26-year-old woman found outside the Annandale home where she was working with a child. Isha Koroma was pronounced dead at the scene on the 3900 block of Terrace Drive after suffering multiple sharp-force injuries, according to NBC4 Washington, and the man now facing charges, Musa Kargbo, was arrested the following morning across the Potomac in Lanham, Maryland.
According to WJLA, the grand jury handed up the indictment against Kargbo for the Nov. 7, 2025 killing of Koroma. Investigators said the two knew each other. Kargbo, described as a Maryland man from Prince George's County, is scheduled to stand trial on Jan. 11, 2027.
What Witnesses and Video Reportedly Showed
Court testimony described in the station's report, attributed to the prosecutor's office, indicated that witnesses said Koroma was found unresponsive with multiple sharp-force injuries to her face and neck. Surveillance video reportedly showed a man leaving a parked car, putting on a mask, and walking toward the area where Koroma was later found before running back to the vehicle carrying a bag.
Prosecutors said the car in that footage was registered to both Koroma and Kargbo, and detectives searching the vehicle said they found blood inside it. Fairfax County police said Koroma was pronounced dead at the scene on Terrace Drive, where she had been working with a child inside the home at the time of the attack.
Arrest Made Across State Lines
Kargbo was arrested the morning after the killing in Lanham, Maryland, with assistance from Prince George's County police, as reported by Fairfax County Police Department. The cross-jurisdictional arrest closed out the search for a suspect within roughly a day of Koroma's death outside the Annandale residence.
The case now moves toward its scheduled trial date in January 2027, with the second-degree murder charge standing as the sole charge reported against Kargbo at this stage. No further detail on his plea, custody status, or legal representation has been reported.
